Classic Victorians
Here are some beauties that live on Union Street in the Russian Hill neighborhood of San Francisco! They are really everywhere as a lot of the architecture here in San Francisco is of Victorian and Edwardian. They recently painted this one and I thought the powder blue was so elegant. Oh, and those are classic bay windows.

One of my favorite colors! I wouldn't mind sitting in one of those bay windows with a cup of coffee.
ReplyDeleteIf you like Victorians you need to visit the town of Ferndale, CA. The entire town is Victorian and they are on the US Natial Registry.
ReplyDeleteI loooove houses in San Francisco! When I visited in 2007, I couldn't stop snapping photos. Your photo is typical of how beautiful the houses are in SanFo. Lovely lovely lovely. If you want to see Victorian terrace houses, come visit Norwich :D

Oh so beautiful. It pays to have good weather to display such nice paint work and windows.
ReplyDeleteToday I watched a movie on Anton Chekoff and I was trying to see if they decorated the scenes with the way people lived in those days They had a russian samovar. But the rest looked modern.
I love old houses!
