In honor of the SF Giants weekend sweep of the Oakland A's, I'm posting a shot of the water cannons going off to celebrate a Splash Hit Home Run.
51 Splash Hits have been hit since the ball park opened in 2000. (Barry Bonds has hit 37 of them).
100 games remain in the 2010 Baseball season. SF Giants are currently in third place, 1 1/2 games behind division rivals San Diego Padres and LA Dodgers.

Nice picture! I like the way the light looks reflecting off the water.
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of the dancing fountains in Singapore. They are beautiful and dance to music.I think they would be a cheaper version of fireworks using lights and splashes of water reflected from it and less dangerous
ReplyDeleteOne of the ballparks I have been anxious to visit. We're checking out a Giants/Dodgers game there!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun tradition to experience!
ReplyDeleteWow !!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSo gorgeous photo : )
I don't follow baseball (my husband does) but I think I understood just enough to say congratulations to the SF Giants! ;)
ReplyDeleteLove the fountain and your gorgeous photo and its steel colors!
Cool shot!. So now it is AT&T Park? When we lived there it was still Pac Bell Park. I think naming stadiums and buildings for corporations is ridiculous. The names change every few years and don't have a thing to do with the team or the city most of the time.
